An easy scoring format for a group of 4 or a tournament with teams of 2.  Each player plays his/her own ball each hole.  If teams aren’t of equal skill, take into account handicaps.

How To Play

Two player teams of equal skill are paired.  All four golfers play out each hole as they normally would trying to shoot the lowest score possible.  The low score between partners on each team is used as the team score.

How To Score

You can use either a stroke or match play scoring format.

How To Win

The team with the most cumulative points at the end of the round wins!

Points can have a predetermined value (e.g. $1 or 1 golf ball), or you could all wager something to throw into the ‘pot’ in which the Player with the most points just wins the ‘pot’ (e.g. cold post round beverage or $10).

More Info

Hole 1:  Players Justin and Eric are on Team A and score a 4 & 5, the team score is 4 (because 4 is lower than 5).  Nate and Dan are on Team B and score a 6 & 3, the team score is a 3 (because 3 is lower than 6).

After Hole 1, Team B would be up either 1 shot or 1 hole depending on the scoring format.
