Rating:

A fun game with multiple scoring options on each hole.  Reccomended for golfers with experience playing and keeping score.

How To Play

Two player teams of equal skill are paired.  Play out each hole as you normally would trying to shoot the lowest score possible.

How To Score

4 points are up for grabs on each hole:

(1) 2 points for the team with the lowest individual score

(2) 1 point for not having the high individual score

(3) 1 point for the low team combined score.  No points are awarded in the event of a tie.

How To Win

The team with the most cumulative points at the end of the round wins!

Points can have a predetermined value (e.g. $0.25), or you could all wager something to throw into the “pot” in which the Player with the most points just wins the “pot” (e.g.$2).

More Info

Scores below par could potentially be worth a bonus of 2 points (see example).

EXAMPLE :

Hole 1 (Par 5):

Team Fore scores a 5 & 6 and Team Fun scores a 5 & 7, Team Fore is awarded 2 points: 1 point for not having the individual high score (6 vs 7) and 1 point for the combined team low score (13 vs 11).  The low individual score is a tie at 5 so no team woud get the additional 2 points.

Hole 2 (Par 4):

Team Fore scores a 4 & 4 and Team Fun scores a 3 (birdie) & 6.  Team Fore is awarded 2 points:  1 point for not having the individual high score (4 vs 6) and 1 point for the combined team low score (8 vs 9).  Team Fun wins 4 points:  2 points for the low individual score (3 vs 4) and a bonus 2 points for making birdie.

After two holes Team Fore would be tied Team Fun with 4 points each.
