Rating: 3/5 (4)

This game awards players for being accurate off the tee and consistent with the putter.  A great game if you are working on your driving/putting, and less worried about your total score.

How To Play

Play out each hole as you normally would trying to shoot the lowest score possible, but really try to focus while on the tee and the green.

How To Score

Each Player recieves 5 points for hitting the fairway (or green if a par 3) in regulation (from the tee).  Each Player then subtracts 1 point fore every putt they take on a hole

How To Win

The winner is the Player with the most cumulative points at the end of the round.

Points can have a predetermined value (e.g. $0.50), or you could all wager something to throw into the “pot” in which the Player with the most points just wins the “pot” (e.g. bag of golf tees).

More Info

On Hole 1 (Par 4), Jamal hits his drive in the fairway (awarded 5 points) and then 3 putts to end the hole.  Jamal would accumulate 2 points on the hole.  5 points for hitting the fairway minus 3 putts = 2 points.

On Hole 2 (Par 3), Jamal hits his tee shot into the rough.  He chips onto the green and then 2 putts.  Since Jamal didn’t get his ball onto the green on the tee shot he gets 0 points and then minuses the putts he took (2) so 0 – 2 = -2 points.

After two holes, Jamal would have 0 points (2 – 2).
