A game for foursomes in teams of two with four points up for grabs on each hole. A game that is suited for groups of equal skill. Score the “Four Point Play” and double all of your points on that hole!
How To Play
Two player teams of equal skill are paired. Play out each hole as you normally would trying to shoot the lowest score possible.
How To Score
There are four ways for teams to score on each hole.
(1) The lowest individual score
(2) The low combined team score
(3) Closest ball to the pin in regulation
(4) One additional point for a birdie.
If any team gets all four points (Four Point Play) on a hole, the points are doubled (that = 8 points)!
How To Win
The winner is the Team with the most cumulative points at the end of the round.
Points can have a predetermined value (e.g. $1 or 1 golf ball), or you could all wager something to throw into the “pot” in which the Player with the most points just wins the “pot” (e.g. cold post round beverage or $5).
Closest ball to the pin in regulation means: (1) After 1 shot on a par 3. (2) After 2 shots on a par 4. (3) After 3 shots on a par 5. Make sure you clarify if the ball has to be on the green to count.
