A true classic and one of the most popular golf games around.  Perfect for beginners, groups just looking to enjoy the day, OR anyone playing on a Par 3 course!  Can be played with 2, 3, 4, or 5 players.

This game is featured on Fore Fun’s 2014 Card that are distributed at golf courses around the country…does your course have Fore Fun Cards?  If not, shoot us an email to inquire about them.  (Hint:  They are free).

How To Play

Play out each hole as you normally would trying to shoot the lowest score possible.  Golfers must play in order (player furthest from the hole shoots first).  There can be a lot of strategy to this game if you really want to win!

How To Score

On each hole, there are  3 points are awarded, 1 point is given away for each Bingo, Bango and Bongo.

  • Bingo is awarded to the first player to hit their ball onto the green.
  • Bango is awarded to the player who places their ball closest to the hole after all the balls are on the green (before anyone has putted).
  • Bongo is awarded to the player who puts their ball in the hole first.

How To Win

The winner is the player with the most cumulative points at the end of the round.

Points can have a predetermined value (e.g. 1 golf ball), or you could all wager something to throw into the “pot” in which the Player with the most points just wins the “pot” g (e.g. a cold beverage back in the clubhouse).

More Info

Since this game requires the person furthest from the hole to always shoot first, we recommend only playing this game if you can keep up with the pace of play or if there are not any groups behind you.

This is a great game if you have a mix of beginners and lower handicap golfers. Bango is the great equalizer because it doesn’t matter how many shots it takes to get your ball closest to the pin.
